One of Without Walls' aims is to increase engagement with and enjoyment of outdoor arts at a regional and national level and to collect evidence to inform the development of audiences for the network and for the sector.

Outdoor Arts are truly one of the most democratic of art forms, overcoming the traditional barriers associated with arts engagement, making it the perfect vehicle for the delivery of programmes of audience development and community outreach

In this section, we have collected the information and learning from the 6-year Associate Touring Network (ATN) project supported by Arts Council England through the Strategic Touring Programme.

This will form the basis for a new chapter for Without Walls, opening Audience Development support to the Touring Network Partnership (TNP) which launched in 2019, and the Artistic Directorate Festivals. Audience Data will also be collected from these festivals to increase the benchmark available within the network.

Without Walls will build on the learning and achievements of this network and continue to make outdoor art available to audiences in areas oh low engagement across England.
