Why we joined Without Walls

‘Being part of Without Walls offers Just So Festival the opportunity to premier the best new outdoor work for families, children and young people. It also enables us to get involved in supporting artists making this work, to share knowledge and experience with other festivals and learn about best practice from our peers.’

Just So Festival

Just So Festival takes place each summer (20-22 August in 2021) in the stunning grounds of the Rode Hall Estate in Cheshire – one of the most beautiful landscapes in the UK, with limited public access the rest of the year. Rowan Cannon, director of Wild Rumpus who produce immersive, outdoor large scale family arts events in natural landscapes, set up Just So Festival in 2009 to create a magical weekend where families could see spellbinding outdoor arts and make lasting memories.

Since starting Just So Festival, Wild Rumpus has grown and expanded and now produces a year-round programme of immersive experiences and transformative adventures in outdoor landscapes. Alongside its events, Wild Rumpus works with performers, producers and programmers to shape a cultural environment where excellent outdoor work thrives.

‘Topping the list for bewitchment is Just So Festival.’
